Hello and welcome to my blog. Yesterday, we had such a lovely day and today it's pouring down again. Where has the sun gone?
I was asked to make a male card who will be 40 and he likes to play the bagpipes. What a dilemma. I couldn't decide what papers to use. In the end I went for the monochrome look. I was going to colour the piper in, but then decided to leave him black and white. I hope he likes it. The papers are from color coordinates. A Martha Stewart punch. Ribbons and pearls from my stash. The image is from a children's colouring in page.
I'm off now to have a peek at everybody's desk. If you are wondering what's going on why not pop over to Julia's blog at the Stamping Ground.
Thanks for popping by. I hope you are all having a good day.
Happy Crafting

Tha card is wonderful Kay, I'm sure it will be a big hit :-) The thing in the bottom right corner of my desk is chipboard and was my entry for Hels Sunday Stampers challenge.

The desk is great, and I like the card a lot.
ReplyDeleteFab card, I love the monochrome look, especially for a male card.

You did a fine job with that card - I wouldn't have known where to start!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking desk you have there
What a difficult request. Don't complain about the rain - we've had far more than our share the last couple of weeks and I'm forgetting what the sun looks like here in the North West!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen
ReplyDeleteluv all those fotos hanging up, fabulous card there, have great day, sue,x
I like the idea of using an image from a child's coloring book for the image. Now that's a clever tip if you know you will never be making another card like it (or with that theme). Happy WOYWW.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen,
ReplyDeleteYour desk looks super organised. If this rain doesn't stop you'll need a boat to get here tomorrow.
Hugs,

Fab card kathleen. My monochrome one won a challenge - so maybe not as morbid as OH said it was!

The sun is still in Cambridge and it is stifling ... you are more than welcome to it ... where are you??? ... I will send it over :0)
ReplyDeleteI thinkyou did the right thing Kathleen - the black and white is striking and anyway, too much of a dilemma to face otherwise! |Your desk looks very controlled. I had a set of cardboard draws just like those you have under the top - my first storage system. Collapsed and died some years ago though!
ReplyDeleteohoo I know just the person I could send that card too...and it's his birthday next month! Have a crafty WOYWW

I am sure the bagpiper will love his card! Have a great week x
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late calling in this week. I'm having a really manic week and even had to pop to see my elderly neighbour in hospital last night [only a 62mile round trip :-)].
ReplyDeleteReally lovely 'male' card on your desk.
